ALISON SKILBECK: MRS ROOSEVELT FLIES TO LONDON
It's an established fact that Eleanor Roosevelt was a strong character, so it's no wonder actress and writer Alison Skilbeck was attracted to the idea of penning a one woman show about her; and as well as playing the late First Lady herself, she also gets to bring life to a host of other interesting historical figures.

When I heard that 'Mrs Roosevelt Flies To London' was making its way to the King's Head Theatre this month, I hastened some questions over to Alison, to find out more about the play, and the work that's gone into it. You can read it here.

'Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London' is on at King's Head Theatre until 9 May. See this page here for more info and tickets.

PETER HAMILTON: BRIDLINGTON
This month and into next, north Islington theatre The Rosemary Branch hosts a staging of playwright Peter Hamilton's 'Bridlington'. Directed by Ken McClymont, the play explores the doomed relationship between two psychiatric in-patients, one an avid fan of 'Wuthering Heights', the other obsessed with anti-submarine warfare.

Intrigued by the subject matter being tackled in the piece, I sent some questions over to the playwright, to find out more about the show and what inspired it. You can read it here.

'Bridlington' is on at the Rosemary Branch Theatre until 3 May. See this page here for more info and to book tickets.

CHRIS GOODE: STAND
It truly is the season for political shows, but here's one with a bit of a difference - the broad-ranging experiences of different kind of activists, distilled into a distinctive biographical performance.

The piece is a collaboration between Oxford Playhouse and Chris Goode And Company. I sent some questions over to acclaimed performer and writer Chris, ahead of the show's run at BAC. You can read it here.

'STAND' is on at Battersea Arts Centre from 20 April to 9 May. See the venue website here for more info and to book.
