If you were at the Edinburgh Festival this summer, you may well have seen - or heard about - Peyvand Sadeghian's acclaimed show 'DUAL دوگانه'.
And to be fair, you might also have seen - or heard about - it when it was one of Vault Festival's Shows Of The Week back in 2020.
Sadeghian, a creator who works both on stage and on screen - recently in 'Queen Charlotte' on Netflix - is both British and Iranian, and the show's jumping off point is her own experiences of that dual citizenship.
I spoke to Peyvand to find out more about her and the show.

You thought we were all done with Fringe things didn't you? Well, we're not. The Edinburgh, Camden and other Fringes may be behind us, but the small yet perfectly formed Clapham Fringe returns for another year offering a variety of different genres and themes. First pick is 'Without', a one man show that starts its narrative in the Windrush period and charts a journey from boyhood to manhood. More here.
Runaway | Bread & Roses Theatre | 25-28 Sep
Fringe-goers might already be aware of this one because, like a fair few shows on this month, it's very recently done Edinburgh and Camden runs. It's the debut play from Beyond Borders, and it's a coming of age story about "home, belonging and finding identity as an immigrant in a big city, about racing towards the future and running away from the past". The Extraordinary Time Travel Adventures Of Baron Munchausen | Bread & Roses Theatre | 23-24 Sep (pictured)
Obviously I am me and so the words 'Time Travel' are immediately attractive, but this one ticks more than one box, because it's also an improvised storytelling show, which we love, plus it's also family friendly. Expect "pirates and princesses, unicorns and dragons, spacemen and swordfights", and a whole lot more, I imagine. See this page here for more information and to book tickets.

Table Manners | Drayton Arms Theatre | 19-23 Sep
Right, a funny section for you funny-stuff lovers, and first up is a new comedy play by Sebastian Kainth: "Unhappily married and on the brink of divorce, Kevin and Lisa invite their old friend Rich and his sparky new girlfriend Fran over to sample a 'gourmet award winning' menu. On the face of it, this is all set up to be a perfectly pleasant evening…" More here.
Gander | Golden Goose Theatre | 24 Sep
This is a brand new comedy night, so you could argue that it's untested, I suppose, but it's hosted by Thom Tuck, who is a legend, so it will be great. Oh, and the line up is rather good too, so you don't have to worry that you're taking any kind of risk here: expect Sam Campbell, Yuriko Kotani, Lulu Popplewell, Ted Hill and Alex Watson. The Breakup Monologues - Live Podcast | The Bill Murray | 23 Sep (pictured)
Yay, and speaking of great line-ups, a fab array of comedy types are headed to the Bill Murray for the latest live recording of the wonderful Rosie Wilby's acclaimed 'Breakup Monologues' podcast. The Mikado | Arcola Theatre | 19-23 Sep
OK, here we are - as ever, or least more often than not - finishing off with a bit of a mixed bag genre wise. And we begin with a tip that's generating mixed emotions from me. For it's good to be recommending this production of classic Gilbert and Sullivan piece 'The Mikado' by the excellent Charles Court Opera, but it is, sadly, the final tip for this year from Arcola's Grimeborn Opera Festival. Wah. Head this way.
Punk Alley | Half Moon Theatre | 23 Sep (pictured)
"Enter the world of the Lazurr Tuts, a guitar-wielding punk band made up of misfits and outcasts. They're in the business of making music and speaking out, and you have been invited into an exclusive acoustic rehearsal". Casting The Runes | Pleasance Theatre | 19-21 Oct
